Meet the Doctors and Staff

Introducing Dr. R. Brett Rabel

Dr. Brett has over two decades of experience in delivering the highest-quality dental care. He attended Baker and Baton Rouge Magnet High, Louisiana State University, and Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1991. An esteemed member of the dental community, Dr. Brett is a member of many leading dental organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, and the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association.

Beyond his DDS degree, Dr. Brett has extensively continued his education. He is a *Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a **Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI), a graduate of the LSUSD Cosmetic Dentistry Continuum, and a graduate and ***Fellow of the world-renowned Temple Misch International Implant Institute (FMIII), where he took multiple seminars in prosthetics, surgery, temple surgery, advanced bone grafting, complete dentistry (taught by world-renowned dental educator Peter Dawson, DDS) and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders (taught by Mark Piper, MD, DDS). He is also a graduate of the Perio Institute’s periodontal surgical skills course and is certified to provide orthodontic treatment using Invisalign®. Dr. Brett is a member of the Courtesy Staff at Lane Memorial Hospital, completed a course in internal conscious sedation and medical emergencies to obtain a permit through the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry to provide conscious sedation on children and adults, and has completed hundreds of additional hours of other courses covering all aspects of general dentistry.

Introducing Dr. Michael N. Rabel

Dr. Mike was born and raised in the Baton Rouge area. He graduated from Central Private High School after which he pursued both his Bachelors and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees at Louisiana State University. He is a member of the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association, American Dental Association, Continuing Dental Education of Baton Rouge, Louisiana Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.


Dr. Mike, like his brother Dr. Brett, shares the same passion and has had much of the same elite training. Beyond his DDS degree, Dr. Mike has extensively continued his education. He is a *Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a **Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI), a graduate of the LSUSD Cosmetic Dentistry Continuum, and a graduate and ***Fellow of the world-renowned Temple Misch International Implant Institute (FMIII), where he took multiple seminars in prosthetics, surgery, temple surgery, advanced bone grafting, complete dentistry (taught by world-renowned dental educator Peter Dawson, DDS) and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders (taught by Mark Piper, MD, DDS). A graduate of the Six Month Smiles adult orthodontics certified him to provide orthodontic treatment using Clear Correct “clear braces”. Dr. Mike is a member of the Courtesy Staff at Lane Memorial Hospital, and has completed a course in internal conscious sedation and medical emergencies. Obtaining a permit through the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry allows him to provide conscious sedation on children and adults. Dr. Michael has completed hundreds of additional hours in other courses covering all aspects of general dentistry. This is a commitment to a lifelong of learning in the dental field. On average he completes 50 hours per year over the state minimum requirements for continuing education standards.

Dr. Mike was also a founding member of the Louisiana Chapter of the Delta Sigma Delta Fraternity Study Club and has been Vice President since the inception in 2009. He has also provided dental care at the Louisiana School for the deaf and visually impaired for many years. Outside of the office, Dr. Mike enjoys spending time with his wife, Amie, and their two beautiful children Colin and Dylan. Dr. Mike’s hobbies include fishing, outdoor activities, and supporting LSU athletics.
